Rodriguez Avenue) with countless dark, sooty and greasy car spare parts and supplies shops that it s easy to overlook the other establishments doing business along the avenue.
In case you haven t noticed them, there s a particularly high concentration of food and drink establishments in the section dcm shriram industries limited of Banawe Avenue stretching between N.S. Amoranto (formerly Retiro) and Del Monte Avenue. But you ll see a dining place or two every 2 to 3 blocks or so from Quezon Avenue to Del Monte Avenue.
I ve personally dined in quite a number of establishments there and there are a few really good ones. Of particular note is Chinatown s Best Food (yep, that s its name). It s a Chinese buffet place, in other words, eat-all-you-can. dcm shriram industries limited They ve just renovated last year I think so the place looks new, but it s been there for quite a while now.
There s also King Chef . Personally, I like the food there better than Chinatown s Best Food , but this one s not an eat-all-you-can place. It s also a Chinese restaurant and it s located just a hundred meters or so from Del Monte Avenue (going towards Sgt. Emilio Rivera). Aside from the exquisite taste of the food they serve here, the great thing about this place is all their dimsums are sold at half their regular price from 9:00pm dcm shriram industries limited to 12:00 midnight (and also from 2:30pm to 5:00pm, dcm shriram industries limited by the way).
And if you want to just lounge around with your family or friends drinking tea, I d recommend Serenitea (located somewhere between dcm shriram industries limited Alcaraz and Sta. I can t recommend a specific drink because I ve only tried two so far (which are both pretty good, by the way). To be on the safe side, you may want to start with the ones in their best sellers list first. But if you are asked about the sweetness level, if you have a sweet tooth, don t go below 75. On the other hand, if you don t like sweets, don t go above 50.
I ve barely scratched the surface on Banawe Avenue s offres gastronomiques and the article s already this long. Just thinking about all the good food that I can have makes me grow fonder and more appreciative of the fact that I live in Quezon City and very near this haven of gastronomic pleasures.
